A cost-effective alternative to animal-assisted therapy that can be deployed in clinics, schools, and homes.
This startup introduces a novel approach to supporting children with ADHD by combining technology and therapeutic interaction to overcome the limitations of traditional treatments.
Conventional ADHD treatments — medication and behavioral therapy — face challenges related to accessibility, cost, and long-term effectiveness. Animal-assisted therapy has shown positive results, but it is not always available or practical, particularly in Palestine where ADHD prevalence is high.
The project proposes robot-assisted therapy as a safe, effective, and affordable alternative that can be easily implemented in diverse environments — clinics, schools, and homes alike.
A study conducted at An-Najah National University (ANNU) demonstrated significant improvement in ADHD symptoms among children who received robot-assisted therapy compared to those using traditional methods.
The robot functions as an interactive companion by playing games, providing emotional support, and engaging children in structured activities while collecting data to personalize therapy sessions over time.
This research highlights the strong potential of robot-assisted therapy as a valuable tool to help children with ADHD improve their abilities and reach their full potential.
